Perhaps the most notorious king in all of history, King Henry VIII still fascinates us to this day. Born to Henry VII and Elizabeth of York in 1491, Henry never expected to be king because he was the second son of the reigning king. When Henry’s older brother Arthur died unexpectedly at the age of 15, Henry was suddenly thrust into the spotlight as the heir to the throne of England.
Henry married his brother Arthur’s widow, Katherine of Aragon, and they were together for 24 years before Anne of Boleyn came into the picture. Since the Catholic Church wouldn’t grant him a divorce from Katherine, he separated England from the existing church and created the Church of England. Now able to grant his own divorce, Henry quickly married Anne Boleyn and they begat the future Queen Elizabeth I. The honeymoon was short-lived as Henry had Anne arrested on trumped-up charges and beheaded at the Tower of London on May 19, 1536. After Anne came a succession of four more wives: Jane Seymour died in childbirth, the marriage with Anne of Cleves was annulled, Catherine Howard was beheaded, and Catherine Parr outlived Henry.

ABOUT OUR CANDLES
Tudor candles are hand-poured in small batches. Differentiations in color may happen. We use only premium ingredients for our wax, fragrance oils, and liquid dyes. Glass jars and wood wicks provide a robust crackle and burn.
BURN TIME
– 9 oz candles burn approximately 40 hours
– 4 oz candles burn approximately 20 hours
TIPS & SAFETY
– Trim wood wick to 1/4″ above wax
– For optimal crackle, gently remove excess charred wood before relighting the wick
– Burn no longer than 2-3 hours at a time
– Burn on a heat-resistant surface
– Never leave a burning candle unattended
– Keep away from kids, pets, and all flammable objects
