Greetings! I’m Eleanor, the founder and creative mind behind Drama Authentics. My journey began with a deep love for period dramas, sparked by the Kevin Sullivan adaptation of Anne of Green Gables. The laughter, tears, and timeless romance of characters like Anne and Gilbert Blythe ignited a lifelong passion, with Gilbert becoming my enduring Mr. Darcy.
This passion led me to immerse myself in the original novels and, ultimately, to the creation of Drama Authentics. My first venture into period-inspired retail began in 2008 in Gettysburg, where I ran a historical costuming shop. Though the economic downturn forced the closure of many small businesses, the dream never faded.
Fast forward to December 25, 2020, as I watched the debut season of Bridgerton on Netflix—the resurgence of period dramas like Outlander, Poldark, and Downton Abbey reignited my inspiration. I realized it was time to bring my dream to life in a new, modern way.
Drama Authentics is now a woman-owned business dedicated exclusively to period drama enthusiasts.
